The Youth Mental Health First Aid course will teach you how to assist young people who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence based Action Plan.

This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals. The Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) course teaches you the skills and confidence to support young people (aged 12-18) experiencing mental health challenges or crisis situations.

This evidence-based program teaches you to:

This is a 14-hour course typically delivered over 2-days or can now also be delivered as a Blended course with 4-5 hours e-learning and a full-day interactive workshop.
