YMHFA is designed for adults who work with or care for young people aged 12-18. The course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to:

  • Recognise mental health issues
  • Communication skills
  • Crisis intervention
  • Reducing stigma

By completing Youth Mental Health First Aid training, adults become Mental Health First Aiders. These individuals are equipped to provide crucial support to young people in challenging times. YMHFA is also recognised as an effective suicide prevention tool.
